separation of powers
checks and balances
i'm pretty sure the purpose is that so no branch has more power than the other so each branch checks with one another if they all approve they make it a law they are having balance
some conflicts over the last few decades included major issues that have erupted in the middle east. regional issues that contributed to these conflicts include;
- conflicts between israel and its neighbors
- growth of islamism
- disputes over natural resources
now, israel wants to keep major jewish settlements, whilst palestinians want borders along 1967 lines but accept settlements that will have to stay in return for land swaps. israel rejected this idea of a palestinian "right of return". palestinians wanted full attributes of normal state, however, israel wanted to curtail this.
some changes include jerusalem being now the capital of israel because of its special significance to judaism. jerusalem is also holy to muslims who outnumbered the jewish population of jerusalem.
