the north american colonies experienced a steady increase in population since the first settlement in jamestown in 1607. by 1775, the colonies' population was around 2,500,000, and most of the colonists lived east of the allegheny mountains.
the clearest benefit to the country would be an increase in voter turnout. leaders would then be more representative of the people they actually represent as opposed to just the people that turn out.
mandatory voting would propel uninformed voters into the spotlight. one could presume, perhaps inaccurately, that the people that vote are "informed" about what they are voting on. with mandatory voting, that might not be the case.
i think that it is letting a lot of people down. there is a lot of peole not being paid and are unable to pay their bills.looking at the more people view everyone almost hates it because they have no money and working for nothing
